The Deeper Things of God

As of late, there have been many false teachings, false predictions, and rapture dates emerging. In fact, it is really out of control.  All of which, whether it’s through wilful ignorance or purposeful deception, has no place among the united body of Christ. It is damaging, it causes others to stumble and it leads many away from God, rather than to him.

Anyone can take a glance around and recognize that unusual and unprecedented events are happening, everywhere.  At times, we panic and there will be unintentional false alarms. But unfortunately, I am not talking about false alarms, I am talking about events like date setting and outlandish false predictions that when examined under scrutiny, fail the test of intelligent investigation, and more importantly, lack biblical wisdom. What is even more startling is watching Christians defend heresy rather than defend the Word of God. Then there is the domino effect–the lies circulate as the false teaching gets passed around from one person to the next.  All of this is a reflection of one’s spiritual health, or lack thereof.My-sheep-hear-my-voice

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.- 1 Corinthians 13:11 (KJV).

Jade helm, Cern, the “false” raptures of September, the earth destroying asteroid of September, the September tribulation, are  just some of the recent “failed” prophesies.  The real tragedy of these events was the discrediting and disservice to the Word of God, resulting in many believers being turned away from the real prophets in the bible and the prophecy of GOD.  The failure is not what God told us in prophecy, but entirely due to the foolish and shortsighted interpretations or deliberate mishandling of scripture by so-called Christians.  This has become frequent. Have we really forgotten that God is precise and exact? The bible tells us that men are wilfully ignorant. What’s worse is that there is example after example of Christians “cherry- picking” scriptures to fit their “prophecy.”  And then adding insult to God, they claim, “And the Lord told me that on September 15th the World will end.”  Again, another sign of one’s spiritual health.

Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain. -Proverbs 25:14 (KJV).

All of these failed prophesies have been nothing more than an over exaggeration and quite honestly, they are adding and taking away from the Word of God.  Is it ignorance?  Is it deliberate?  Is it for YouTube likes? Money? Whatever the motive, it is sinister and carries a heavy punishment by God.

25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. 26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal. 28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord. -Jeremiah 23:25-28 (KJV).

32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord. – Jeremiah 23:32 (KJV).

There will be many more false alarms and false predictions, the bible tells us that. In fact, it is prophecy. But for those who LOVE JESUS, we must take a stand against this. How do we handle this? Do you agree that it is in fact a Christian’s duty and responsibility to handle the WORD of GOD in truth? Should we not be responsible for checking the accuracy and content before spreading messages around?   .

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.- Acts 20:28 (KJV).

There is an uncomfortable truth springing up, that ties into why false doctrine is actively being spread around by Christians, and it is one that merits a discussion.  I have seen what I equate to the “pew and drive-thru” mentality. This mentality is satisfied with being immature and ignorant of God’s word.  This apathetic approach believes that plopping in a pew, that listening to a YouTube sermon, or reading a Christian book, somehow constitutes “one’s daily bread.” Frequently, I am hearing from many that their “spiritual walk” is based almost entirely on what others are telling them, and the rest on what they think, feel, or believe. This is a tragedy and will indeed contribute to a person being deceived and led astray.

The saddest part of all is many are missing that beautiful relationship with their savior, Jesus Christ, who wants to mould each of his children’s minds, and impart his wisdom and teaching. How can we expect to grow and mature in CHRIST if we do not have a personal relationship with him? How can we learn the deeper of things of God without studying the word of God?wisdom Lmuhar

Some are satisfied with the simple Gospel.  The one paragraph verse reading that they call “my time with God.” This approach will never lead one to the deeper things of God, or an understanding of context. There are some who are completely ignorant of the word of God, and would not recognize false teaching if it came there way, either because they are new Christians or because they do not read their bible. There are others who fail to realize that details matter to GOD, and these are the ones who are willing to accept a teaching that has just enough truth in it.  The problem with this approach is that they blindly trust it, without searching the scriptures to see if it is true or being used in its proper context. Regardless of the reasons, all of this leads to false assumptions and the spreading of false teaching.  This practice of deception is starting to emerge everywhere. Its rampant, and it is poisoning the masses. The results are predictable, Christians are getting snared and caught up in confusion and false teachings.

Spending time with the Holy Spirit is KEY to your walk with Christ. Each of us needs our daily bread, so that the Holy Spirit can minister to our souls, the great comforter, the one who sheds light, who imparts wisdom, wants to mould and strengthen us. He wants us to know his plan, and he wants YOU to come into the fullness of the LORD’S WISDOM, not the WORLD’S!  For some their daily bread, is daily dead.

What is also heartbreaking is those who become easily offended or vilify you for pointing out false doctrines.  As trendy as it may seem to follow the big name preacher or the latest fad, which is the equivalent to  “everybody is doing it, and everybody loves him/her, so it must be right and true!” has no place in the body of Christ. When Jesus said, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat” (Matthew 7:13) this is exactly the perspective he was talking about!  More often than not, it is those following the narrow road who have it right! “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.”- Luke 6:26 (KJV).

Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? – Galatians 4:16 (KJV).

If matters could not be worse, we also have defenders of heresy beating up on Christians who speak against a so-called ‘anointed’ preacher/teacher/prophet. Reality check:  There are no new prophets or prophecy, so this huge misconception has led to many following after man, rather than reading the true prophecy, written and ordained by God – THE BIBLE. It is often followed with the ones who are offended by truth using verses out of context -“Do not judge, do not touch God’s anointed, love your brother, and we all make mistakes.”

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. -Ephesians 5:10-11 (KJV).

The lying prophet and false teaching continues, and the one trying to reveal truth ends up being the one who is “hated.”  This too is a sure way of knowing the state of one’s spiritual health. Truth is not considered hate speech, nor is TRUTH considered judging.  This has really got to stop. We have simply got to stand in unity and agree that we cannot misuse scripture, or spread around false teachings and heresy.

But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;-1 Peter 3:14 (KJV).

Another destruction to the unity of Christ comes by way of both pride and a refusal to listen. We judge matters before we even hear them.  I often catch people commenting on posts or articles, and they have not even read it!

He who gives answer before he hears, that is folly and shame to him.- Proverbs 18:13 (KJV).

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them -Psalm 119:165 (KJV).

We should want to learn, listen and grow spiritually, that should be all of our goals as Children of God!  Not shut down the body of Christ who aims to teach the Word of God. Which brings me to the point of all of this.  Church, we are in perilous times, and the church is being divided.  We have got to take a stand against this division from within, by holding fast to the WORD of GOD!

The true body of Christ believes the WORD of GOD is infallible, that the Holy Spirit gives us wisdom, and those who TRULY FOLLOW CHRIST, discern and test what they are being told by others. The answer to all of these tests, is found in the WORD OF GOD.  The very foundation to our walk in Christ should be grounded in what we know to be TRUTH, and that is GOD’s word.  The truest and most authentic way to know truth is only found IN JESUS CHRIST. I cannot stress that enough.

WISDOM

It should be understood that if we as Christians expect to grow, and want to teach the WORD of GOD, we ourselves must be trusting and walking with Jesus. We must be studying to shew ourselves approved. If we are not sure about something, we should not post it or share it.  God warns us throughout scripture that a man’s heart is the most deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9), our check and balance is the WORD of GOD.

There are three simple rules that should be applied in all situations:

1. Make sure what is being stated is THE WORD OF GOD.  “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” – Acts 17:11 (KJV). See also: Luke 1:2, 11:2, John 3:33, 2 Corinthians 1:22, Ephesians 1:13.

a. We cannot follow after what we think, feel or believe, nor can we blindly follow after the teachings of man. Everything must be verified in the WORD OF GOD. “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.”- Ephesians 5:6 (KJV).  See also: Jeremiah 27:9, Jeremiah 29:8, Romans 1:18, Ephesians 2:2, 4:14, Colossians 2:8, Hebrews 13:9, John 7:17.

b.  Are you teaching the word of GOD or the WORD OF MAN?  When we choose Christ, we choose to sacrifice OUR CARNAL SELF, and submit to the love of JESUS CHRIST, and his ways.   For this purpose, his word is given to us to maintain order and live a righteous life.  We must acknowledge and teach that the WORD of GOD is the sound doctrine we refer to for direction in our life. We are also warned that teachers will be judged more harshly, along with that, we were also warned about adding or taking away from prophecy.  “My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.” – James 3:1 (KJV).

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.- Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV).

2. Do not JUDGE A MATTER BEFORE HEARING IT! This is so important. There have been many times I have watched in my own ministry, people who refused to listen or read a scripture, or have taken the scripture out of context. The biggest one is “DO NOT JUDGE” and “LOVE.” He who gives answer before he hears, that is folly and shame to him.- Proverbs 18:13 (KJV). Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth? – John 7:51 (KJV).

3. We are called to handle the word of GOD IN TRUTH. NOT DECEPTION. “But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.” -2 Corinthians 4:2 (KJV). See also: 2 Corinthians 2:17, 6:7-8, 1 Thessalonians 2:3.

listen-to-the-word-of-god1

GOD promised that he will reveal the mysteries of HIS WORD to all who truly seek him. That is a promise, and that promise includes unlocking BIBLICAL PROPHECY.

We must take heed and apply caution when we speak, teach, and share the word of God. We should especially be very careful when we say,  “And the Lord told me.” (we will talk about that more below).

I myself have learned from experience. I have been guilty of ignorantly speaking before completely understanding what God was trying to reveal in his word to me. God is faithful, and we are all at different phases of our walk in Christ.  I have now have made a RULE, that I will not teach on a subject, unless I am absolutely sure that it is biblical and rightly divided.  I have made foolish errors, and was ashamed for the ignorance of them. We also need to understand that mistakes happen, but we should not be passing the mistakes along.  There is a right way to handle a brother and sister in error, and a wrong way.  We will talk about that more in “how to deal with false teachers” section below.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. -Romans 10:17 (KJV).  See also: Job 42:5, Galatians 3:5, Colossians 3:16, and 1 Thessalonians 2:13.

Our walk with GOD requires US to hear the word of GOD.  I am not saying that you cannot listen to a Pastor or a teacher, what I am saying is make sure it matches exactly what the LORD IS TEACHING YOU in HIS WORD.

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen – 1 Peter 4:11 (KJV).

Prophecy begins and ends with JESUS, is revealed to us by the Word and unlocked by the Holy Spirit.  Our journey begins by accepting that God’s Word is infallible, and that there are no new prophesies, meaning, God is not going to reveal a new prophecy to John Smith, and thus rewrite what has already been written in the prophetic books of the bible.

Warnings For All Christians

As listeners, we must search out the scriptures and verify it, we must study to shew ourselves approved.  When something is from the Lord, he confirms it in scripture.  He is not a God of confusion, and does not want us to be ignorant of his WORD.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” – 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV).

Nothing New Under the Sun

Rest assured, there is nothing, and I do mean not one single thing that is new under the sun. That means that GOD, who knows all things, revealed ALL PROPHECY. That should not disappoint us, but give us a sense of peace. That peace is resting confidently in knowing that the WORD OF GOD contains all prophecy of past, present and future. The bible also tell us that there will be no new prophesies, nor will there be new prophets rising up with new revelations. The bible tells us that through both JESUS and PAUL.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. -John 16:33 (KJV).

25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:  -Colossians 1:25-28 (KJV).

Paul’s ministry concluded the fulfillment of the mysteries (secrets) that were to be revealed to the Church and he also concluded the written word of God. Just as Colossians 1:25 tells us.

The idea that there are new prophesies has become a rather touchy subject, and one that is frankly so out of control, it is dividing the body of Christ. As of late, there is no shortage of those proclaiming to have a prophecy from God. Everything from the world is ending, that the rapture is going to happen on such and such a date, to a meteor is going to strike earth in September. Unfortunately, all of those dates have passed and not one single prophesied event, that shamefully used the name of the Lord, ever came to pass.

When we read the following passages, we are clearly told that PROPHECY has been revealed and written:

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. – Revelation 1:3 (KJV).

And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.- Revelation 22:6-7 (KJV).

In these verses, we see BLESSED IS HE THAT READETH  and KEEPETH the words of this prophecy, we DO NOT SEE, BLESSED is he that addeth or taketh away to this prophecy.

Imagine if God, who is exact and has a plan, were to “raise up prophets” or new “revelations” in this day and age?  Would it not negate everything the prophets of old have already written? We would have a mass mayhem (as we do now) of false prophets, prophesies, and there would be absolutely no way to verify them. God does not create this type of confusion.  It is for this very reason that GOD already chose and instructed his prophets to write his words!  We have that completed word today!  These words were verified as pointed out in Revelation 22:6 “THESE SAYINGS ARE FAITHFUL AND TRUE.”  It goes against every plan of GOD to think that there will be NEW PROPHESIES outside of what has already been written.

We should consider ourselves very blessed that GOD has already laid out the plans of the world and foretold them perfectly.

Which brings me to the point, is everything that is happening in the world today, written in the word of God?  The answer remains the same.  There is nothing new under the sun.

It also should tell you that NOTHING is going to happen that is not written in the word of God according to his prophecy. He is in control of all end time events, regardless of what schemes or shenanigans the devil is up to.

The key to understanding how modern events relay to biblical events is knowing how they were foretold. It was impossible for even Daniel at the time to understand such future events, he admittedly stated he did not know, and God sent an angel to minister to Daniel.  Even now, we are told that knowledge will increase. Meaning, literally that what was of old, will begin to surface, and we will understand more as we near the Lord’s return.

  • But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, evento the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased – Daniel 12:4 (KJV).
  • And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand – Revelation 22:10 (KJV).

I have also seen many go astray from the teachings of the bible when they try to relate worldly events to the bible, rather than use the bible to understand what is going on in the world.  Meaning, the events we see happening are in fact manifestations of what God warned us about already in the bible.

But what about all the Prophetic Dreams and Visions today?

Many will be angry, and I am sure will have much to say about this. But the truth of the matter is, while God does speak to us in dreams, and reveals his Word, there will be NO NEW REVELATIONS of PROPHESY. PERIOD. Anyone teaching otherwise is a heretic and preaching things that are not of GOD. End of story. The bible tells us that very clearly. Does that mean God does not speak to us through the Holy Spirit?  NO.  But what it does mean is the bible and the plan of the future prophecy does not include men and women today revealing new prophesies. It means that GOD never changes, and that he is not relaying secrets to Joanne and Bob, while the rest of the world is clinging to their every word like lost sheep. Can you even imagine GOD doing such a thing?

Let us take a look at what is being taught to us in the bible.  Paul says the following about gifts, prophecy and tongues:

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.  -1 Corinthians 13:8-10 (KJV).

What is meant by “perfect is come?” Compare to the following usages appearing 8 times in scripture:  Colossians 1:28, 4:12, 1 Corinthians 2:6, 14:10, Ephesians 4:13, Hebrews 5:14, 9:11 and Romans 12:2.  These reveal MATURITY.

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. –-1 Corinthians 13:11-13 (KJV).

Paul tells us that these gifts would cease, but that hope, faith and love would continue. Paul emphasized the most important of all was LOVE, exactly what Christ taught us, too. Paul further equates the requirement of signs to that of a child. So, while at one point signs constituted a partial plan of revelation, and were used to testify and reveal the power of GOD, they DO NOT EXIST anymore.  Instead, we are to BE MATURE, and maturity comes by FAITH, and faith comes by what?  BY HEARING THE WORD OF GOD. YOUR BIBLE.  Not by signs, wonders and false prophesies delivered by false prophets.

What many have overlooked is that even Paul testified that his gifts ceased,  Acts 28:8-9 is where we find the last recorded healing.  After reaching Rome, Paul did not have the gift of healing,(See Timothy 5:23. 2 Timothy 4:20, Philippians 2:27.) Instead, through Paul, God professed his desire to have the BODY OF CHRIST continue in faith, love and prayer, and not what?  Not expect to be healed every time. But to thank and praise GOD for all things, because his grace is sufficient for all of us (2 Corinthians 12:9). James 5:13-18 also confirms that the gift of healing ceased and instead we were to pray and anoint the ailing with oil.

Moreover, when Paul instructs Timothy and Titus about the elders chosen for the church, Paul does not qualify elders by their gifts, nor does he mention the SIGNS of prophecy, or healing, or tongues as requirements. See Titus 1:6-9 and 1 Timothy 3:1-10. We clearly see here too that these gifts had stopped when Paul wrote these epistles.

The clear answer is that these signs or gifts ceased at the end of the book of Acts. Which also concluded God’s dealings with Israel for the time being. God’s dealing with Israel will continue in future prophecy, which also confirms that these SIGNS were for the Jews not the BODY OF CHRIST.  1 Corinthians 1:22-24 states that Jews sought after signs, Greeks after wisdom, and God gave the power of those signs to the Gentiles, to provoke jealousy of the Israelites (Romans 11:14).

Paul is telling us that the COMPLETED Word of God is with US TODAY. CONFIRMING that we will not have any NEW PROPHESIES or additions to the WORD OF GOD.  And further confirms that the BODY OF CHRIST is not to live by signs and wonders, but by Faith and love! (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.-Romans 3:25-26 (KJV).

I know this will be hard for many to take in, especially those who attend churches that heavily emphasize SIGNS (healing, prophecy, tongues) all of which are false teachings. Some churches state that proof of salvation is when one speaks in tongues, declaring that this verifies that one has received the Holy Spirit. There are several things wrong with this teaching.

  • One, when you speak in tongues, it has to be “translated”  which was a biblical requirement when people were speaking in tongues (1 Corinthians 14:28).
  • Two, since the bible teaches us that the Holy SPIRIT is our seal to salvation, what happens to those who are physically unable to speak?  Does this mean they do not have the HOLY SPIRIT because they cannot speak in tongues?  Do you see the problem with this teaching?
  • Three, tongues were for unbelievers, not believers (1 Corinthians 14:21-22)
  • And four, tongues ceased (1 Corinthians 13). So the idea that tongues is still relevant today, is not only a false teaching, it reveals a broad misunderstanding of scripture.

This is why “Health and Wealth” Preachers are dangerous to the body of Christ. They tell Christians that they do not get healed or have riches because they lack faith or because they are in sin. This is to exempt them from responsibility, if you are not healed or get riches as they falsely predicted! It is nothing more than a false distraction to keep you from noticing their abounding riches!  Next time they have a cold, perhaps you should ask them how is their faith?

You see this is not what JESUS taught.  There are many accounts of JESUS healing in the bible, and there are many accounts where God did not heal, and it had nothing to do with sin or a lack of faith. Read about the thorn in Paul’s side and Timothy’s constant stomach pain.

This false doctrine has commanded the world’s fixation on signs and wonders, and additional prophesies. It has caused much confusion among the body of Christ, and many follow after preachers and prophets claiming to have one or more of these gifts.  This declaration by churches has also caused many subjected to this erroneous teaching to question their salvation.  This is why it is important to understand the WORD OF GOD. I speak from experience, I came from a charismatic church. I had no clue until I pursued a relationship with JESUS CHRIST.  So while the church is to blame for this false teaching, I too am guilty.  Why?  because God left his WORD for all of us, and imparted the HOLY SPIRIT to each of us.  So, we are all responsible for our personal relationships with JESUS, not man, not a church.

What does Jesus Teach?

Scripture tells us that we will know followers of JESUS by their fruits (Matthew 7:16).  The acceptance of JESUS CHRIST is manifested in the transformations of our minds (Romans 12:2), we become new creatures, putting off the old self, and our deeds are the manifestation of the HOLY SPIRIT. The test of the HOLY SPIRIT IS BY THE FRUITS. The Fruits of the Holy Spirit is given to us by Paul in his letter to the Galatians.  These nine FRUITS represent the HOLY SPIRIT, our seal to salvation.  “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV).

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise- Ephesians 1:13 (KJV).

Nowhere in this verse do we see that the manifestation of the HOLY SPIRIT IS VERIFIED BY speaking in tongues, or any other such gifts that have ceased biblically.

We also need to be aware of those who represent all these fruits, but deny scripture or bring in damnable heresies.  Like the Pope. He exudes FRUITS, but he teaches that one is to pray to Mary, that Mary can save, that priests can forgive sins, and there are many other false teachings and heresy that I covered in another teaching.

Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. -Luke 6:26 (KJV).

Another Pastor teaches that even if you take the mark of the beast you can still be saved if you repent. Completely false, and in fact, those who believe that and do take the mark will find themselves in hell.  So, this tells us, that we need to also test not only the FRUITS, but test their doctrine!

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4) He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5) Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself –  1 Timothy 6:3-5 (KJV).

It was for this very reason CHRIST warned us of false prophets! (2 Peter 2:1, Jeremiah 23:27).  I must also say this, we ARE RESPONSIBLE for our walks with Christ. If you have developed a “drive-thru” mentality, and shortchange your walk with JESUS in exchange for what someone else is telling you, you can rest assured that your spiritual health and maturity will be lacking. And indeed, you will be tossed to and fro in every wind of doctrine!

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men,and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; – Ephesians 4:14 (KJV).

What I have learned is that there is a huge lack of understanding of the deeper things of God, there is an even BIGGER ISSUE with rightly dividing the word. I think that this causes more confusion than anything, and is honestly the reason we have many divisions in the body of Christ.  How to resolve that?  By NOT listening to CHURCHES, BUT instead listening to what the SPIRIT has to say to the CHURCHES!

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. – 1 Corinthians 2:10 (KJV).

The Bible is Not of Any Private Interpretation

There is an apostasy of epic proportion emerging in churches across the world. By deception, man has adopted the idea that the bible is antiquated and needs to be updated to the “times we are in.”  Likewise,  I have also seen the bible being used out of context, distorted, and even as a weapon against those who speak truth.  We must understand, that prophecy and the word of GOD WILL NEVER CHANGE, nor will Gods’ instruction to the body of Christ. Another reason why those who call themselves prophets and prophetess’ are in error.  They are casting a belief that the LORD raised them up and therefore, God’s WORD is now NULL AND VOID. WRONG! Prophecy, which is the WORD OF GOD, the two GO HAND IN HAND, is not subject to what we think, feel, or believe, and the WORD OF GOD WILL NEVER CHANGE! So knowing that the WORD of GOD never changes, how can we have new prophesies?  Does that make sense?

And if that does makes sense, then the next question is, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO HANDLE the next time a person says, I am a prophet of God with a message from the Lord?

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. -Isaiah 40:8 (KJV).

God has revealed His purposes—and his plan is outlined in the bible to three specific groups: the Gentiles, the Jews, and the Church.

  1. Jews (Their Covenant is through Abraham, and their laws through Moses, this covenant is irrevocable and the Church does not replace it).  Additionally, the Jews are taught of an “earthly heaven” (very different from the Church).  The Lord has suspended dealing with Israel until the Church is removed.
  2. Church (Those who accept JESUS Christ, and the Laws were given by Jesus, and are awaiting a heavenly home)
  3. Gentiles (Who are neither the Nation of Israel or the Church) are those who refuse to accept God, Jesus, and will endure wrath and ultimately hell unless they repent

Therefore, while the entire bible is for our teaching and instruction, we must understand that the bible speaks three different promises/plans that will result in the same ultimate destiny for all mankind if they choose Christ or reject him. Heaven or hell.

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. -1 Corinthians 12:13 (KJV).

So while God has a Covenant with Israel, they are not exempt from having to accept that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven.

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: -Romans 3:22 (KJV).

However, their promise/plan is different from that of the promise/plan of the Church. (For now, the prophecy in Isaiah 42:20, 6:9 confirmed in Romans 11:8, is still present today).  Which basically says, their eyes and ears are closed until God deals with them. When will that be?  When the fullness of the Gentiles come in.

To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.- Ephesians 3:10-12 (KJV).

Jesus brought the message to the Jews, and Paul brought the message to the Church/Gentiles.  Understanding this is key to understanding the bible, the verses, prophecy, rapture, and tribulation. In other words, there is one plan for the Jews and one plan for the Church and another for the Gentiles.  God’s wish is that all man turn to him and never perish. But, most importantly, “this plan” reveals that it cannot be changed, and above all, it does not require additional prophets or prophesies. Proof of these distinct programs that lead to one plan are throughout the bible.  The biggest indicator and proof is found when we examine the covenants, specifically the Abrahamic Covenant.  This promise by God  reveals a dfferent plan for the JEWS, and it cannot be broken, regardless of what the Jews do. We see clearly that the Jews are under the law, BY CHOICE but protected by the covenant with GOD, whereas, the Christians are under grace, and are not subject to following the traditions of the Jews or their laws. Therefore, we clearly see TWO plans. The other difference is, the CHURCH is not subject to the time of Jacob’s trouble.

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; -Ephesians 2:15 (KJV).

The body of CHRIST needs to ratify and reconcile these differences in order to avoid leading the body of Christ astray, and using scripture out of context.  Doing so will keep us focused and on solid ground, a foundation built by the wisdom of Christ. Rightly dividing the word.   I know, because I traveled this journey, and I can speak from experience. Moreover, I see the confusion playing out now. When God opened my eyes, I realized the error, and have become a better servant as a result.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.-Matthew 22:29 (KJV).

I cannot tell you how many times I thought I was right, and how many times I said and thought THE LORD had led me to my understanding, only to find out, that my understanding was WRONG. I discovered, that while the Lord was with me, I was not patient, I was trying to rush the teaching, and as a result I was guilty of not hearing what the HOLY SPIRIT had to say. One such example is the RAPTURE. But, as all things good and bad, the Lord also revealed to me the errors that were contributing to this confusion.

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. -Philippians 3:15 (KJV).

Therefore it is key to understand:

  1. There will be no new prophesies, because we have a sure prophecy already
  2. There is a plan for the Jews and certain scriptures speak directly to the Jews. The time of Jacob’s trouble, has NOTHING to do with the plan for the CHURCH.
  3. There is a plan for the Christians, and certain scriptures speak directly to the Christians. For instance, the Jews are not taught about going to heaven, but that heaven comes down to earth.  Whereas, Christians are taught of a heavenly home.
  4. All scripture is for our teaching and instruction, because eventually we will all be joined in ONE BODY, both Jew and Gentile (Church) with ONE PLAN. The plan is accepting JESUS and living together in peace, love, free of sin.
  5. We must rightly divide the word of God, applying scripture to the intended audience
  6. It is imperative to understand that NOT ONE written word of scripture is of private interpretation, or left to the discernment of man’s imagination.
  7. God does not change, nor will his plans as told to us  by John, Daniel, the prophets, the apostles and Paul. All were inspired by God to reveal the truth and to prepare us for what is to come. For this reason we know without a doubt, that GOD will not raise up a new prophet, prophecy or revelation. That is your solid rock, your armour and sword to fight against the wiles of Satan. Take it or leave it.

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old-time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost -1 Peter 1:19-21 (KJV).

This verse gives us a blessed assurance, and a solid rock to stand on.  Therefore, if someone comes forward with something not contained in scripture, he bears the judgment of God, and as a follower of JESUS we know that anything outside the word of GOD is FALSE PROPHECY.   It is up to each person, to seek out the truth, revealed by the Holy Spirit.  You cannot expect to learn and verify God’s word, by simply believing your preacher, a prophecy author, reading books, or watching videos. THE HOLY SPIRIT is your teacher. Test the spirits, test what you are being taught, by seeking the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD!

Until the LORD gives you an in-depth understanding from his word, HIS teaching, you will be tossed to and fro, wondering what is to happen. But test what you are being told by finding it in scripture. Allow the Holy Spirit to teach you.

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so -Acts 17:11 (KJV).

The Very Serious Warning of Adding or Taking Away from Scripture

God also heeds a warning to those that take away or add to his WORD.  I cannot stress enough, how strong a warning that God himself gave, all would be considered foolish to ignore this:

  1.  For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book -Revelation 22:18-19 (KJV).

I have heard many people say, that the warning of adding or taking away from scripture only applies to the book of Revelation, it does not.  It applies to the entire word of God:

     2.  Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you – Deuteronomy 4:2 (KJV).

Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar- Proverbs 30:6 (KJV).

God specifically tells us that he will heap plagues on those who add or take away from his WORD!  You read it, straight from the word of GOD.  It is a strong warning, that all of us should FEAR in trembling. It is not to be taken lightly. There is a healthy fear of knowing that God says what he means and does what he says.  The fear that remains in me to this day, is the fear of being a false teacher, misusing scripture, and teaching something that is not of God, I think that this fear should be in all of us.Not a fear of restriction, but a fear to ensure that we are in fact teaching correctly.

Date Setting

I can rattle off at least a dozen people who I know of, that have prophesied things that have never come to pass, and swore that the Lord told them. One of the biggest issues, still happening today, is date setting. When JESUS said NO MAN WILL KNOW, he meant it.  In the past, date setting and impending doom prophesies made thousands of Christians sell their homes, cars, businesses, and some even moved to other parts of the earth, fearing impending doom.  While not ONE SINGLE word ever came to pass, I had to stop and wonder, who is more foolish?  The story-teller or the one listening, or are both equally foolish?

FAILED PREDICTIONS

This is both shameful for the person speaking a false prediction and the person who listened to it. Especially when the WORD of God teaches us that NO MAN knows the day or the hour of the Lord’s coming. Why did they EVEN LISTEN? More often than not, people are falling for this stuff, because they do not believe that prophecy has been written. They are fooled into believing that this man or this woman, were given divine revelations by GOD!  FALSE!!! God is not going to add or take away to his own PLAN!  It is time we have a deeper wisdom and a deeper understanding of God.  We must have this wisdom to avoid the crockery and misleading of thousands of people.  I do not know about you, but I FEAR the Lord, and I do not want to contribute to teaching or passing along false doctrine.

To date, there have been well over 200 dates predicting the return of Jesus, maybe more. All of them have been false.  Why are Christians getting caught up in such heresy? Did JESUS not teach the exact opposite, over and over we see in scripture where JESUS warns that he will come as a thief in the night.  Here are SOME of the verses:

  1. Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days? – Job 24:41 (KJV).
  2. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only – Matthew 24:36 (KJV).
  3. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father – Mark 13:32 (KJV).
  4. And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power – Acts 1:7 (KJV).

Months before the final  blood moon of the tetrad came on September 27th, “Christians” were telling others to get ready, that the rapture was coming, and others claimed it would be the start of tribulation. There were three dates predicted as the return of JESUS: September 17th, 23rd, and the last was 28th.  It is now October, and all of us are still here.  Do you see the issue? Below are some of the dates of those predictions, some have passed and others are “pending.” It should be understood, that date setting is not only wrong, it also forbidden. The consequences of such actions could cause a brother or sister, unsaved or saved to stumble, or lose faith. You also bear the risk of having additional plagues and judgments by GOD.  There is nothing that justifies the setting of a date, not a blood moon, not a season, nothing!

future predictions

We are not RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF GOD. I know this first hand, because I watched the confusion unfold through a perplexing and devastating blood moon “FALSE TEACHING” crisis.  The event has now led to many fallen preachers and failed predictions. It was pure NONSENSE. We have pre-tribbers proclaiming the return of Christ, using TRIBULATION SCRIPTURE. If you believe in the “rapture” you cannot use verses that apply to the tribulation.  How does one reconcile using tribulation scripture of blood moons to justify “date setting” for the rapture? That is such a contradiction and is quite honestly, why many are confused about the rapture and tribulation.   Blood moons have absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH RAPTURE.

For tribulation, YES. None the less, many a preacher got rich off this blood moon scheme, and PRE-TRIBBERS forgot their own doctrine.  It was incredulous to watch actually. But one thing came out of it for me at least, I now understand why people are tossed to and fro. It caused me to seek God even more, and pray for those who were being caught up in this heresy.  Which by the way has also caused even more scoffers.

While some may not be aware, the headlines are now full of jokes about these failed predictions!  All who bought into this, sold it, shared it, got sucked in, are now responsible for spreading FALSE TEACHING. The most damaging, is that the world laughs, because we are not taking the WORD OF GOD AND HIS PROPHECY SERIOUSLY!  SHAMEFUL.

Check out these latest headlines

  1. Christian group predicts the world will be ‘annihilated’ on Wednesday
  2. It’s the end of the world again, for real this time (maybe)

Furthermore, IF GOD SAID, NO MAN WILL KNOW, that includes NASA. Meaning, that NASA will not have anyway of predicting THE BLOOD MOON. This is entirely GOD’s TIMING,and he is not going to give man control over this.  This requires us to really stop and think and look at the teachings of the BLOOD MOON CRAZE. That does not mean I am dismissing that blood moons and their revelations are not from GOD, they are indeed. But they did not signify tribulation, nor the end of the world, much less the rapture. Daniel and John along with the other prophets went to great detail to explain the PROPHECY OF GOD, yet man dismissed that and fell into the snare of listening to false doctrine.

Blood moons are indeed miracles of GOD, and to whom we should praise. Just as when we see a rainbow, a falling star, or the sun shining, or the moon.  But, we need to stop tying them to events that do not exist, and most importantly STOP teaching FABLES.

13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. -Titus 1:13-14 (KJV).

As the body of Christ, we must understand the damage that is being done. I too had to learn this lesson, I am not without fault for my misunderstandings. We cannot handle the word of God in sensationalism, or in making predictions or false prophesies.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing theword of truth.- 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV).

Ignorance is not something Jesus ever preached!  He wrote his word upon our hearts, and left his living word, and HIS HOLY SPIRIT, He does not want us to be ignorant!  “My people die from lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6).  Everything you need to know about prophecy is IN THE WORD OF GOD, not NEWSPAPERS, and definitely not in books created by man.

And it was not just the blood moon fanatics, It was also Cern. Remember the whole GATES OF HELL were going to be opened?  To my shocking dismay, Christians were caught up in this, too.  The bible clearly tells us who holds the keys to HELL, and it is not CERN.

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. -Revelation 1:18 (KJV).

Remember Jade Helm? Another fanatical, sensationalized, overrated- came- to- nothing -exercise of insanity.

Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. -Isaiah 8:12 (KJV).

The Damage Caused By False Predictions and Sensationalism

False alerts and false teachings cause damage to Christians and unbelievers, among the list is –confusion, fear, harm, frustration, and financial loss. I have read horror stories of people selling their homes, and countless other things, believing some of these false alerts and dates. The most damaging thing it does is cause the unbelievers and Christians to be afraid, and it turns the unbelievers to shun biblical prophecy all together!  It’s not only tragic, it’s shameful for both the listener and the so-called teacher of God.The most damaging is when someone stops believing in God, or loses faith in JESUS coming back at all! There is one thing to be a scoffer, and there is one thing to make people scoff!

truth

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ – 2 Corinthians 2:17 (KJV).

Do not contribute to the making of more scoffers, we have plenty already.  But be in truth, study the word, and show yourself approved, being mindful of the imaginations of men.  If God reveals something through the Holy Spirit, it will be confirmed in his word.  God tells us that teachers will be subjected to a harsher judgment, we would all be wise to take heed to that. God is not to be mocked!

My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation – James 3:1 (KJV).

We must be partakers of truth, always glorifying God,and speaking what we know, not what we think, believe or feel.  End time prophecy is about the preparation of the lost for the return of Jesus, not turning them away with false predictions and teachings. We must teach truth, we must teach that heaven and hell are real. We must share the love of Jesus, his will is that all men come to him and not PERISH.

Our sole goal during this time is leading the lost back to their creator, teaching and preaching the good news of Jesus Christ.  Our second goal is to be prepared, and watchman, knowing the things that are coming. This preparation comes by scripture, not of any imagination of man’s prediction. We know the SIGNS of the times, and Jesus gave them to us, that is what we are to relay.  The “birth pangs.” Not making people stop believing because too many false alarms and false predictions are going around. We must understand that satan penetrates the CHURCH, too.  We must be alert and wise, girded with the truth!

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ – Colossians 2:8 (KJV).

How to Handle A False Teacher

If someone is teaching something that is not found in scripture, we are given very clear instructions on how to handle it:

  • A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. – Titus 3:10-11 (KJV).
  • If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4) He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5) Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself –  1 Timothy 6:3-5 (KJV).
  • Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them – Romans 16:17 (KJV).
  • Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.-2 Thessalonians 3:6 (KJV).

We are to confront the false teacher. If they refuse to listen, then we are to avoid them. Following exactly what the scriptures tell us!

Matthew 7:15 (KJV).

Moreover, we need to be weary of those who use their knowledge for power, pride and profit. Why?  Because somethings are said for sensationalism, to gain an audience, and cause people to stray from the written prophecy. We see many examples of this when preachers predict things that do not come to pass, and they hype this up through advertisements, saying: ‘Never before seen or heard,’ or other similar statements. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories.

  • Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping – 2 Peter 2:3 (KJV).  For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple – Romans 16:18 (KJV).
  • But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God – 2 Corinthians 4:2 (KJV).

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves- Matthew 10:16 (KJV).

Signs of the Times

Jesus told us very clearly about the sign of the times, and he listed them out.  Jesus said that these signs were the beginning of sorrows (Birth pangs) And as they increase in frequency and intensity (just like when a woman is in labor), the closer we are to Jesus’ second coming, an event that is separate from the rapture.  We can clearly see in the headlines today, that these birth pangs exist, and are indeed increasing.

seals and birth pangs

And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed – Romans 13:11 (KJV).

I also publish a daily “Birth Pang” report, with of all end time news as it pertains to prophecy, and you can find the report pinned to the top here, I also include the scripture, so that anyone can relate the events to the prophecy, as there are too many to list in this article.   I encourage all to learn the WORD OF THEIR CREATOR, their savior.  God does not want us to be ignorant!

I pray that any person in Christ who reads the report is not troubled by the events, but stands in peace. We were not told these things to be in fear, but to prepare and share the gospel of Jesus Christ! We can have that blessed hope and peace because Jesus keeps his promises, as told to us in His Word, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27 KJV).

Considering the things shown to us about biblical prophecy, we need to watch the signs given to us by Jesus himself, and “do not add or take away” from them. We need to also understand that certain prophecies can be fulfilled more than once, and some prophecies may be partially fulfilled..

Jesus is Coming – Are You Ready?

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped – Isaiah 35: 4-5 (KJV).

Jesus is alive and watching now. Injustice and wickedness will be defeated and banished forever into the pits of hell. The saved, Christ’s elect, will be vindicated. As Christians, we must study God’s WORD, pray, walk in faith, and seek God with all our hearts, minds and soul. When we seek truth, we will live in truth, and we will not be tossed to and fro in every wind of doctrine. God does not change, and neither does his word!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning – James 4:7 (KJV).

We can either be a generation of believers, steeped in faith, trusting in the infallible WORD OF GOD, trusting that his prophecy is written, not to be added to, or anything taken away, or we can be as children, chasing after man and deciding that sensationalism and what we want to hear is better than TRUTH.  A people of apostasy, that believe MAN is capable of rewriting the words of JESUS, are not the true body of Christ. We are not instructed to chase after signs, we are instructed to keep and read the words of prophecy, love and have faith. We are told over and over to SEEK WISDOM, and that is through JESUS CHRIST.

For the sake of the kingdom, for the sake of not bearing false witness, for the sake of understanding that false predictions cause harm and make many turn from Christ, we need to stop this foolishness and return back to the teachings of GOD’s word. We need to teach the WORD according to the PROPHETS GOD ORDAINED, not the ones who rise up on their own.  We owe that to our savior, our King, who bought and purchased us with his BLOOD! We owe it to those who need truth and that is only found in JESUS. How can you share JESUS if you are sharing LIES? Be apart of the advancement of the KINGDOM of JESUS CHRIST. Seek him daily in prayer and by reading his word!

Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. -1 Corinthians 14:20 (KJV).

Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men. -1 Corinthians 7:23 (KJV).
