Mixing Iron and Clay: Meet The People Who Became Cyborgs

The primary goal of technology should be to improve our lives in some way. So far that has seen us embrace computers, the Internet, smartphones and most recently wearable gadgets. The future will not see us hold or wear technology, but have it directly implanted into our bodies. There will come a day when all humans don’t just use technology, or wear it on their heads and wrists, they inject it into their bodies..

Already, the transhuman movement is seeing technology implants gain greater acceptance, but many still feel uneasy about the ethics involved when we attempt to improve our bodies artificially.

There are a few brave souls at the edge of the singularity now. Sometimes they even call themselves cyborgs. These are people who have implanted tech directly into their bodies, for a variety of reasons.

That’s the vision of both sci-fi writers and people who call themselves “futurists.” One of them, Ray Kurzweil, even has a name for it: the singularity. That’s a point when technology and our bodies merge and we become different creatures at the next level of evolution.

And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay -Daniel 2:43 (KJV).

If you are not familiar with the Singularity and Transhumanism, here are some articles to explain the concepts and where it is taking humanity:

Replacement limbs

For many years, individuals have used technology to help solve medical problems. Artificial pacemakers have been implanted into humans since the 1950s and prosthetic limbs, in their most basic form, have been used for centuries.

Now limb replacements are becoming increasingly advanced, with the DEKA arm being one of the most notable. Developed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the U.S. Army Research Office, DEKA can carry out a series of complex movements controlled by electrical signals sent from electrodes connected to the user’s muscles. The electrodes transmit signals to the arm, which can carry out 10 different types of movements.

The DEKA arm has given those that are missing limbs the ability to perform delicate tasks, such as grasping a bottle, which wouldn’t be possible with traditional prosthetics.

Neil Harbisson’s antenna – The World’s First Government Recognized Cyborg

Self-confessed cyborg Neil Harbisson is one of the most famous exponents of body modifications and has used technology to overcome the extreme form of colour blindness that has afflicted him since birth.

Neil Harbisson- World’s First Cyborg

Neil Harbisson is a Catalan-raised, British-born contemporary artist and cyborg activist best known for being the first person in the world with an antenna implanted in his skull and for being officially recognized as a cyborg by a government. The antenna allows him to perceive visible and invisible colours such as infrareds and ultraviolets via sound waves as well as receive images as sounds, videos as sounds, music or phone calls directly into his head via external devices such as mobile phones or satellites.

Harbisson is unable to see colour at all and so decided to implant a permanently attached antenna into his skull in 2004. The “Eyeborg,” as it is known, allows him to experience colours by translating them into sounds. An Internet connection also allows Harbisson to receive phone calls directly into his skull.

In 2010, Harbisson cofounded the Cyborg Foundation that supports other people who either need or want a tech implant.  The website has a tagline:  “We urge you to become part-machine.”

Harbisson became the face of this cyborg movement in 2013, when the film ‘Cyborg Foundation’won a $US100,000 grand prize from the GE/Focus Forward Filmmaker Competition.

Deep brain stimulation

Deep brain stimulation involves the insertion of electrodes into three target sites within the brain and has proven hugely effective at tackling Parkinson’s disease.

The electrodes are connected to a neurostimulator placed under the skin in the chest or stomach area, which delivers high-frequency stimulation to specific areas of the brain. This changes some of the brain’s electrical signals associated with Parkinson’s and is often used in partnership with medication.

The procedure is working so well that it could remain the primary surgical treatment for the condition for the next two to three decades.

Another project from the Cyborg Foundation is called the 360º sensory extension.

Choreographer Moon Ribas‘ upgraded the back of her head to vibrate when someone approaches her from behind. In this first prototype she wore the device with a matching pair of earrings. The earrings let her feel vibration on her left ear if someone was standing behind on the left. Ditto for the right.

Security chips

A number of companies around the world are now offering employees the opportunity of having computer chips implanted into their hands to help them in their place of work.

The radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip is inserted under the skin, following only a brief moment of pain, and can be put to various uses. Most often, the chip is used to unlock doors, providing a more secure solution than employee ID cards.

Amal Graafstra has implanted an RFID chip into each of his hands, which you can see, near his thumbs in that X-ray photo.

And he founded a company, Dangerous Things, that sells do-it-yourself implant kits to others who want to do the same.

He uses the implants for all sorts of things. He programmed them, for example, to unlock his car, home, and computer with a wave of his hand. No more looking for lost keys or forgotten passwords.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. ” -Revelation 13:16-17 (KJV).

Kevin Warwick is Professor of Cybernetics at The University of Reading, England, where he does research into artificial intelligence, robotics, and biomedical engineering.

While working on a robotic arm to help people who have lost a limb, he experimented on himself, implanting a device that links his nervous system directly to a computer. He can use it to remotely operate lights, heaters, and computers.

Under the right circumstances, someone else can control this device. His wife, Irena also put an implant into her body, and with that can control the device in his arm.

He wrote a book, ‘I, Cyborg’ about his work and his implants.

Others have placed an electronic business card on the chip, which can be accessed via a smartphone, or use the implant to access their car or computer.

The Circadia 1.0

Sticking with the DIY theme, biohacker

Tim Cannon has created a device that tracks everything going on with the body, much like a Fitbit, but is implanted under the skin, not just worn.

It’s called the Circadia 1.0, and it is housed in a black box that he had implanted in his arm.

The Circadia 1.0 is not the most elegant implant, clearly protruding from underneath Cannon’s skin, but it does offer some personal utility. The device can be connected to appliances in his home and is programmable via tablet. In fact, by monitoring various health metrics, the Circadia 1.0 can automatically provide Cannon with a helping hand.

“So if, for example, I’ve had a stressful day, the Circadia will communicate that to my house and will prepare a nice relaxing atmosphere for when I get home: Dim the lights, let in a hot bath,” he explained.

While consumers may not quite be ready for Cannon’s rough and ready approach to technological implants (he inserted the Circadia 1.0 without any anaesthetic), with some refinement similar body modification could become widespread in the not too distant future.

Without a doubt, the Antichrist’s world government is officially here. With the ever increasing pace of technological advances, the antichrist marking and tracking system are exploding in every possible way: cars, TV’s, Drones, phones, appliances, clothes, watches, shoes,  you name it, its got a tracing device on it or in it!

With the help of modern computer technology like satellites, GPS, biometrics and smart card technology, people can now be tracked anywhere in the world. Even internet social media sites are turning over information to government entities. All of this technology has made it possible to identify and monitor every move a person makes. Indeed, the days of privacy are long gone!

This is all apart of the satanic agenda… it comes gift wrapped as fun, good, and beneficial, to lure people in. But make no mistake about it, this technology is leading to one converging path, the Antichrist mark of the beast. And all of this should be ominous warning signs!  Keep your eyes on the kingdom of heaven!.
