Protestors Wage War on Man vs. Machine: “I say robot, you say no-bot! A-I say Goodbye!”

AUSTIN — About two dozen protesters, led by a computer engineer, echoed that sentiment in their movement against artificial intelligence.”I say robot, you say no-bot!” The chant reverberated through the air near the entrance to the SXSW tech and entertainment festival here.

Are ROBOTS taking over? Without a doubt.  Consider the following:

  • One Company, NAO, has over 5000 robots currently operating in 70 countries. With its new functionality, NAO EVOLUTION is the next big step for the development of innovative applications for a broad range of companies and content publishers.  These figures represent one company. There are dozens more selling robots all over the globe.
  • Hospitals in the US are currently using robots to deliver meal trays to rooms.
  • The us Government is planning to replace 1/3 of the military with robots.
  • Japan’s workforce is currently using Robots, and seeks to implement more by the year 2017. Currently, there are banks, fast food Chains, and hotels that have more robots than humans.
  • Las Vegas is using Robots in their Hotels (SEE VIDEO).
  • Congo and California are using “robo-cops” to help police streets.
  • Experts are Warning of a world taken over by AI.

What is pushing this? Addiction to TECHNOLOGY, Smart phones, propaganda,  and Transhumanists, who believe that man must evolve into AI. This is their ultimate goal -the replacement of humanity with AI, the “super species.”  Your tax dollars are funding it, too.

The latest trend is convincing people ‘robots’ are ‘human’ with real souls!

Look at this video, and  how “human like” robots are becoming:

There is no doubt robots are taking over! As these protestors took to the streets to sound the warning alarms, I hope and pray others will see what is going on too.

This is is about morality in computing,” said Adam Mason, 23, who organized the protest.

Signs at the scene reflected the mood. “Stop the Robots.” “Humans are the future.”

The mini-rally drew a crowd of gawkers, drawn by the sight of a rare protest here.

The dangers of more developed artificial intelligence, which is still in its early stages, has created some debate in the scientific community. Tesla founder Elon Musk donated $10 million to the Future of Life Institute because of his fears.

Stephen Hawking, an angry man because of his disease, promotes evolution and curses God.

Stephen Hawking and others have added to the proverbial wave of AI paranoia with dire predictions of its risk to humanity.

The topic is an undercurrent in Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine, a documentary about the fabled Apple co-founder.

The paradoxical dynamic between people and tech products is a “double-edged sword,” said its Academy Award-winning director, Alex Gibney. “There are so many benefits — and yet we can descend into our smartphone.”

As non-plussed witnesses wandered by, another chant went up. “A-I, say goodbye.”

Several of the students were from the University of Texas, which is known for a strong engineering program. But they are deeply concerned about the implications of a society where technology runs too deep.

“Planes can fly themselves, but the person who is ultimately responsible for landing a plane is a human,” Mason said.

The anti-bot protest has some of the brightest minds in AI puzzled.

“I am amazed at the movement,” says Stephen Wolfram, a British computer scientist, entrepreneur and former physicist known for his contributions to theoretical physics. “AI has changed life in ways as dramatic as the Industrial Revolution.”

Stephen Wolfram,

Adds Ben Medlock, co-founder of mobile-communications company SwiftKey: “Machines have already taken over. If you drive a car, much of what it does is technology-driven.”

Phil Libin, CEO of software firm Evernote, frames the protest and movement as the latest iteration of the man vs. machine debate.

“People worry about robots taking over the world, but I assure you there are much more dangerous things (income inequality and global warming) in front of the line,” he said.

Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:-Psalm 102:25-26 (KJV).

“Humans should be more worried about other humans,” Libin said.
