During his homily for a Lenten penitential service, on March 13th, Pope Francis declared a “extraordinary” Jubilee year, saying, the holy year, will be dedicated to the theme of mercy. The event is to mark the celebration of the 50th anniversary of “a groundbreaking Vatican council” that transformed how the Church related to the modern world, most notably ending the obligation for religious services to be conducted in Latin.
The Jubilee, also called a Holy Year, will open this year on Dec. 8 – the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception – and will close Nov. 20, 2016.
According to ‘Catholics,’ a Jubilee can be “ordinary” if it falls after the set period of years, and “extraordinary” when it is proclaimed for some outstanding event.
Francis’ announcement of the Jubilee not only falls on the opening of the 24 hours for the Lord event, but also the two-year anniversary of his becoming Pope.
It will also coincide with the 50th anniversary of the closing of the Second Vatican Council in 1965. The Jubilee will be organized by the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization.
The official announcement of the Jubilee will take place on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 12th, the Sunday after Easter, with a public proclamation in front of the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica. (This event of “opening the doors” will occur after the blood moon on Passover, April 4th).
The Catholic Holy Door Ritual
Each of the four papal basilicas in Rome has a holy door, which are normally sealed shut from the inside so that they cannot be opened. The doors are only opened during Jubilee years so that pilgrims can enter through them in order to gain the plenary indulgence that is connected with the Jubilee. (THIS PRACTICE IS NOT IN THE BIBLE) And I cannot help but think that this will be the day the gates of hell are opened. But that is just me.
The rite of the opening of the Holy Door is intended to symbolically illustrate the idea that the Church’s faithful are offered an “extraordinary path” toward salvation during the time of Jubilee.
After the Holy Door opens in St. Peter’s Basilica, those of the other three Roman basilicas, St. John Lateran, St. Paul Outside the Walls and St. Mary Major, will be opened.
THE CATHOLICS AGAIN USURP AUTHORITY OF JESUS CHRIST, GIVING HIMSELF ‘symbolic’ POWER TO OPEN A DOOR THAT ONLY JESUS CAN.
The door in scriptures, is symbolic of our Salvation. It is a symbolic reference to a literal array of meanings. Salvation, our seal, and the Key to the door, are powers that are only given to Jesus Christ.
- When God ‘sealed’ Noah in the Ark he closed the door with his VERY OWN hand, “the LORD closed it behind him.” (Genesis 7:16 )
- And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open – Isaiah 22:22 (KJV).
- These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth – Revelation 3:7 (KJV).
All of these verses, clearly tell us that JESUS, is the only one who can open or close that symbolic door of salvation, it is Jesus that is the key to eternal life, our seal, and our savior, not the Catholic church.
Origins of the Jubilee Year
In ancient Hebrew tradition, the Jubilee Year was celebrated every 50 years.
The origin of the Jewish celebration of Jubilee dates back to Biblical times and was prescribed under the mosaic law, found in Leviticus 25. A Jubilee year, is the year at the end of seven cycles of shmita (Sabbatical years). Jubilee is only celebrated every 50 years and is considered sacred. It represents a time of liberty, when captives are set free, for forgiveness, and a unprecedented time when God would pour out his mercies.
- “And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
- Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
- And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof..” Leviticus 25:8-10 (KJV).
In the New Testament, Jesus brings the old Jubilee to completion:
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;- Isaiah 61:1-2 (KJV).
Biblically, the Jubilee only applies to the Jewish people,it only applies to those living in the land of Israel, and all twelve tribes must be present. Because of the exile, the Reuben, Gad, and Menashe (about 600 BCE) Jubilee has not been observed.
The Jewish people are waiting for the return of all tribes to begin celebrating this feast. As a side note, if you have been paying attention to the news, you will note that the Menashe tribe (one of the 12 lost tribes) has begun returning to Israel. In fact, many jews have been returning. Another prophecy that we are seeing unfold right now!
As you can see from the diagram below, the Jewish shemittah (Sabbatical year, shmita) is happening right now.
While I gave a lot of history, the purpose was to point out that the Roman Catholic Church (RCC) by no authority of Jesus Christ, changed the Levitical laws, the feasts, and the times of those celebrations. This too was prophesied by Daniel:
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time – Daniel 7:25 (KJV).
I do not want to get into the discussion of the Sabbath being changed, nor do I uphold a Saturday Sabbath. What I want to emphasize is what the Catholic church said in regards to changing the Sabbath.
Rather than understanding that JESUS ROSE again and he himself became the Sabbath, the Catholic’s usurped the authority and made the following statement as published in the Catholic Record:
“Sunday is our mark of our authority”…the church above the bible, and this transference of the sabbath is proof of this fact” – Sept 1, 1923.
I don’t need to point out the rebelliousness of that statement, it is obvious and clear. Most notable for me, is that it correlates to satan claiming he would place his throne above God. The Catholic Church clearly demonstrates that they teach traditions of men, not of God. By their own admonishment, they think more highly of their laws and authority, than those that Jesus taught.
THE CATHOLIC ‘HOLY YEAR’
THE CATHOLICS REWRITE THE MOSAIC LAW AND NOW DECLARE THE HOLY YEAR A “MARIAN YEAR” (Dedicated to Mary Idol Worship) and CELEBRATE IT WHEN THEY DEEM IMPORTANT.
So, Pope Makes history by Calling a Mary Worship Year, and deems it extraordinary because of Idolatry and “celebrating himself”- pretty sure that does not appear in the bible!
The Vatican Insider explains the concept of a Jubilee Year, most recently celebrated by John Paul II (WHO ALSO MADE IT A MARIAN YEAR IN 1987) and, before him, Pius XI.
- The word “Jubilee” comes from the Hebrew “Yobel” meaning “billy goat”, in reference to the ram’s horn (SHOFAR) used in religious celebrations to sound the trumpet.
It is called “Holy Year” because it is celebrated with sacred rites and also because its mission is the holiness of human life.
It has been 15 years since the Catholics last declared a Jubilee Year:
The last Ordinary Holy Year, the year 2000, declared by John Paul II, was especially important because it celebrated the 2000th anniversary of the birth of Christ (apart from differences of exact chronological count).
What is more, it will be the first Holy Year which marks the turn of a millennium: the earliest Jubilee was proclaimed by Pope Boniface VIII in 1300.
His predecessor Pope Benedict XVI resigned in February 2013. Francis said ‘Benedict should not be considered an exception, but an institution.’
In Church history, only two Marian years were pronounced by Pope Pius XII and Pope John Paul II.
The Catholic tradition of practicing the Holy Year began with Pope Boniface VIII in 1300, and since 1475 an Ordinary Jubilee has been celebrated every 25 years in order to allow each generation to experience at least one during their lifetime.
However, as is the case with Pope Francis’ 2016 Holy Year of Mercy, an extraordinary Jubilee can be called for a special occasion or for an event that has a particular importance.
The Holy Year is traditionally a year of forgiveness of sins and also the punishment merited by one’s sins. It is also a year for reconciliation between enemies, conversion and receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
The first extraordinary Jubilee was called in 16th century, and the most recent have been in 1933, when Pope Pius XI called one to celebrate 1900 years of Redemption, and in 1983 when St. John Paul II proclaimed one to honor 1950 years of Redemption.
The Catholic News Agency quotes the message given by apostate Pope Francis as he declared a Year of Jubilee focused on mercy:
“Dear brothers and sisters, I have thought about how the Church can make clear its mission of being a witness of mercy,” the Pope told attendees of his March 13 penitential liturgy in St. Peter’s Basilica.
“It’s a journey that starts with a spiritual conversion. For this reason I have decided to declare an Extraordinary Jubilee that has the mercy of God at its center. It will be a Holy Year of Mercy…
“I am convinced that the whole Church will be able to find in this Jubilee the joy of rediscovering and making fruitful the mercy of God, with which we are all called to give consolation to every man and every woman of our time,” Francis said, and entrusted the Holy Year to Mary, Mother of Mercy.
The scripture connected with the year is Luke 6:36, “Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.”
The Jubilee, also called a Holy Year, will open this year on Dec. 8 – the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception (MARY WORSHIP) – and will close Nov. 20, 2016.
In an interview on Mexican television earlier the same day, the Pope explains the second anniversary of his “unexpected”election, and reflects back on the day.
He suggested ‘ it was like the psychology of a gambler who convinces himself he’ll lose so he won’t be disappointed if he wins.’
‘Remembering the week that he was named pope, Francis said he had packed only a small suitcase for his trip to the Vatican, and he had already written a homily to deliver on Palm Sunday, after returning to Argentina.
In the same interview, the Pope expressed his expectation for a short pontificate – “four or five years, or two or three.”
He added: ‘It is a somewhat vague sensation. But I feel that the Lord has placed me here for a short time, and nothing more.’
Francis is missing part of one lung after a childhood illness and suffers from sciatica. Last year he said that he believed he had only a few years to live.
“I know this is going to last a short time, two or three years and then… to the house of the Father.”
Francis also confirmed that he would consider retiring if he felt he could no longer perform his duties, but rejected the idea of an age limit.
The mysterious premonition will inevitably spark and ignite lots of speculation about his death and possible resignation.
And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH -Revelation 17:5 (KJV).
Heresies, Rituals and Traditions of Men
“HERESIES are those doctrines and practices which are contrary to the Bible. They are also called “human traditions” or “doctrines of men.” Both Peter and Paul predicted and warned that in the later times “false teachers” would rise within the church and bring in “damnable heresies” and “doctrines of devils” (see 2nd Peter 2:1-3, and 1st Timothy 3:2-5). Jesus rebuked the Pharisees, for they transgressed the commandments of God by keeping such traditions. “in vain,” He said, “they worship me by keeping for doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:3,9).
Clearly through all of these practices as evidenced here, we can see the catholic church putting their traditions and ceremonial rituals above the teachings of Christ.
The fact that this is taking place during the blood moons, a Shemittah year, is not a coincidence. It’s ominous of unfolding events of the false prophet and telling of troubling times.
Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped – Isaiah 35: 4-5 (KJV).

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils – 1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV).
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect -Matthew 24:24 (KJV).
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry – 2 Timothy 4:3-5 (KJV).
