Mars, Venus and the Moon are all due to come together in a beautiful and captivating star formation over the next few days.
God told us that signs in the heavens, are his way of letting us know that triggered events will follow. We know that all signs in the heavens are also God’s way of speaking to us, just as he promised from the beginning of the earths’ formation.
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years -Genesis 1:14 (KJV).
The trio of planets (Venus, Mars, and the moon) will dance a dazzling display and Christians should be moved by the spirit of God working and speaking! How majestic is HIS handiwork, but even more so, how incredibly divine the signs are for us. They are the warning signs of events, but to believers, they are a confirmation that our Savior, is watching over us.
For those that have ears to hear what the Holy Spirit says, let us understand our mission – to bring the lost to his kingdom, preach the word, and sound the alarms! Jesus Christ is coming very soon!
The spectacular light show will see a sparkling and brilliant white Venus snuggle up to the Red Planet beside a crescent Moon.
Astronomers are hailing the event as one of the most dazzling space formations of the year with the luminescent orbs visible to the naked eye.
Unusual alignments of the planets are linked to Biblical Events
Rare formations such as this have been the prelude to “blood moons” – events which tell us that the second coming of Christ is near.
The Bible warns: “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come – Joel 2:31 (KJV).
A similar Venus-Mars alignment in May 2011 coincided with a spate of severe thunderstorms, floods and tornadoes in America.
Devastating winds ripped up trees and power cables as they tore through the state of Kansas, the most notable being the Joplin tornado.
Astronomers around the world will be closely watching as the three planets snuggle together.
Viewers should keep an eye out for a dazzling white Venus, next to Mars which will appear as a dull red glow joined by a crescent moon.
This evening, Venus and Mars will edge closer together and will sit in alignment until Tuesday when Venus pulls away from Mars to continue its orbit.
Astronomer Brendan Owens, of the Royal Greenwich Observatory, said the best time to watch will be 6.30pm on Sunday.
He said: “If the weather is good on Saturday you may see the formation but they will be at their closest on Sunday.
Visible with the naked eye: “It will be very easy to see these fantastic objects so close together in the sky, and it is a wonderful opportunity to take picture or just enjoy the sight.
“Although they will appear very close, of course they are in fact 130 million kilometres apart.
“It is likely to be a fantastic sight, with the crescent moon which will be just past its new moon phase.”
He said the best way to identify the white and red stars will be to hold a hand to the sky and they will be close enough for the tip of the little finger to cover them.
Beautiful and captivating alignments of the stars are however steeped in biblical prophecy with events often attributed to them, they are the warnings of the things to come.
Most feared is the tetrad phenomenon which has followed plantery alignment events such as the Mars-Venus union.
The dark red ‘blood moons’ are a sign from our Heavenly Father! They signal the end of the world, and they warn of events to come.
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed – Romans 13:11 (KJV).
